Enlight Foundation, The Patchwork Collective, and Lever for Change announced the 25 award recipients of the Emerging Climate Champions Award, a $25 million USD global open call. Each organization was awarded a flexible, multi-year gift of $1 millionUSD to advance climate solutions globally.

His Excellency Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay announced the country’s calculation of GEP at $6.2 billion, about twice the size of the country’s gross domestic product (GDP). This follows on Bhutan being the world’s first carbon-negative country and the pioneer of gross national happiness (GNH). The Stanford University-based Natural Capital Alliance worked with the Bhutan government to calculate GEP. Enlight Foundation is a proud partner of this work.
